Hey! hey! hey! I'm here to share a blog post about my experience as an intern in web design and graphic design at Sidekick!

Let's travel back in time to February 13th, 2023, the day I started my new adventure. I was beyond excited to dive in, but let's be honest, my first day was a bit nerve-wracking. Luckily, I had an amazing mentor to guide me through the day. She was super friendly and made me feel right at home. I was also lucky enough to meet some of my colleagues, who were all super nice and welcoming. I was definitely off to a good start!

Right after I got comfortable with my new surroundings, I was assigned to my first project: a website redesign! Fun right? Well, I have no doubt in my mind that it's going to be a great experience.

With that being said, I want to share some of the things I learned during my first two weeks as an intern at Sidekick. First off, it's perfectly okay to feel a bit clueless at times. I mean, I was a total newbie when I started, so I had a lot to learn. But I quickly realized that it's okay to ask questions and seek help when you need it. In fact, it's encouraged! I found that my colleagues were always willing to lend a helping hand and offer advice. And I'm so glad I took them up on their offer because I learned so much from them!

Next, I discovered that taking risks and trying new things can lead to some amazing outcomes. For example, I was assigned to improve my PowerPoint skills, which I wasn't very confident in at first. But I decided to give it a shot and I'm so glad I did! I learned so many new tricks and tips that I can now apply to my future projects. I also learned that it's okay to make mistakes. I mean, I'm not saying you should go out of your way to make mistakes, but it's okay to make them. I made a few mistakes during my first two weeks, but I learned from them and I'm better for it.

Finally, I learned that every task or project, no matter how small, presents an opportunity to learn and grow. It's crucial to approach each assignment with your best effort and attitude because you never know what killer skills you'll pick up along the way.

Oh, and guess what? We've got a new addition to our daily routine: walking! Yes, you heard it right. It's a great way to get some fresh air and exercise, and it's also a great way to bond with my colleagues. I mean, who doesn't love a good walk and a good chat? I know I do!

So there you have it, my fun-filled take on my journey as an intern at Sidekick. Until next time, happy learning and growing!
